Such a thing should be strongly condemned. There are so many people who are completely "normal", but are still totally worthless. The sad thing is that we all have friends and/or relatives who think in this manner about visually impaired people. With our hard work and determination, we might be able to change people's perception about us, but it's very difficult to change their perception about visually impaired people in general. In India, even the word 'blind' is considered to be an abusive word, so this is nothing compared to that. Sorry for sounding so negative, but, unfortunately, that's the truth.
