Nothing really diminishes, Rajesh. It is only reduced to being a grey
areaof not being certain whether it was actually perceived or a figment of
one's imagination. I can say for certain that it does not go away
completely. I still use my history of years of visual back up when sighted
to relate to things and events around me. if then, these experiences are
somehow relived in my dreams, they are crystal clear and that, I think is
largely due to the fact I've seen in the past.

The only diminishing comes with the memory of events before and after losing
my sight. It's been such a long time that I sometimes have to check back
whether a particular experience or event has occurred before or after losing
my sight. In fact some events like having watched a particular movie fades
into that grey area of whether it was before or after the sight loss. Here
too, maybe a little out of context, the relating to a film with persons I've
seen remains etched in the mind vis a vis the newer ones where the actors
are not ones I've seen unless the impact of the movie is that strong.

I wonder how clearly those who have lost sight late in life can have visual
perceptions in dreams?
Whether clarity diminishes with passage of time? because they don't have
visual sensations now in their waking life?

Hi Bijal

I suppose, dreams are just the manifestation of the world of your awakened
conscious state. What ever gives sensory inputs, those would be reflected in
the dream state.

Continuing with Vetri's comments, sexual experiences in dream would be
triggered by biological factors like those of hormones, scent, thoughts etc.

Interesting topic.

Subject: [AI] Query regarding night's dreams of totally/born VI, & hearing
/speech impaired.

Dear friends,
It's just my curiosity to know about dreams during night of totally
and born blind as well as hearing/speech impaired person.
How are the dreams of such persons who never see colours in life? Is
there a dream of multi-coloured world?
And what about dreams of h i/ and s i, who never hear voice?
So please, explain.
Friends, this query is based only for scientific level.
Thanks.
Bijal Patel.
