In my case, they definitely do. Every little detail seems to emerge like a film rolling across a screen. In fact, like was said in some mails, persons and events that have occurred after losing sight also have a visual presence.

One query to all those who have gone blind late in life and have memories of dreaming both as sighted and blind. Do dreams remain predominantly visual even after losing sight? -----Original Message----- From: accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in [mailto:accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in] On Behalf Of rupa mukherjee Sent: Monday, January 30, 2012 8:54 PM To: accessindia@accessindia.org.in Subject: Re: [AI] Query regarding night's dreams of totally/born VI, & hearing /speech impaired. Hello friends, A very nice & interesting topic to discuss. It's an opportunity to know, how different people express their thoughts & desires while dreaming. We never decide to visualise unpleasant dreams, but still sometimes we see them. I would like to share my feelings & views on the same, hope many have the same view on this! I lost my vision about 26/years back, but still now in dreams, I see colours, faces & objects, which I never saw even! May be I am a late blind & seen colours & faces etc, helps me to visualise the things better, but how, is my question? I think, while talking to someone or touching or listening about something, we imagine a basic image of that person or object & in our dreams also we imagine that only. We might not visualise it actually, but as we imagine during talking, touching or listening, we imagine the same & say we can see all while dreaming. It's all our imagination power, which really allows us to see in dreams & smile! Sometimes in my dreams, I know I am blind, but still I see certain colours, objects etc, really don't know why? It's really a puzzle, how I visualise things in dreams, that too very clearly! I even see new things also very well! Very surprising, but it's true. I always regret, when the dream gets over!
