Hi Deena,

At the University of Washington we have:

· A web page on Lactation
Stations<https://www.washington.edu/admin/hr/laborrel/contracts/uaw/addons/lactationstations.html>
hosted on HR’s website which quotes a collective bargaining agreement with one
of our staff unions, and

· A one-liner within the Student Conduct Code that establishes, “Breast
feeding or expressing breast milk is not indecent exposure” within the
“Indecent Exposure” section of prohibited conduct.

We have no separate policy.

Best wishes,

Rebecca

Subject: [acupa-l] Question on Nursing Mother's policy

Good morning and TIGF! ☺

We’re looking to develop a policy for nursing mothers (Texas law calls it
“Right to Express Breast Milk in the Workplace,” a title we probably won’t
adopt verbatim, but anyway…haha), and had two main questions:

a) Do you have a stand-alone policy for this, or is the content embedded
into another policy?

b) Where does this policy reside (chapter, owner, division, etc)?

Thank you!

V/r,
