Jennifer,

Washington State University handles codes of conduct (student and general) in a
similar way to the University of Washington. Both our Standards of Conduct for
Students<http://apps.leg.wa.gov/wac/default.aspx?cite=504-26> and our Conduct
on Campus Code<http://apps.leg.wa.gov/wac/default.aspx?cite=504-31> are
Washington Administrative Code rules.

Hope this helps —
Deb

Subject: RE: Code of Conduct Question

Hello Jennifer,

The University of Washington does not require attestations regarding its
Student Conduct
Code<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.washington.edu_admin_rules_policies_WAC_478-2D120TOC.html&d=DQMFAg&c=C3yme8gMkxg_ihJNXS06ZyWk4EJm8LdrrvxQb-Je7sw&r=iqHR1B_HJlUU6vlFd3lUew&m=dtNdZ7cuFszisXQmpxESAPAw_RMoBPAzvp9CBhchiUE&s=F2K45yyNsQsXxN2VKxKAS8yLZfwrW_o-iibyM2NDu84&e=>
 or its General Conduct
Code<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.washington.edu_admin_rules_policies_WAC_478-2D124TOC.html&d=DQMFAg&c=C3yme8gMkxg_ihJNXS06ZyWk4EJm8LdrrvxQb-Je7sw&r=iqHR1B_HJlUU6vlFd3lUew&m=dtNdZ7cuFszisXQmpxESAPAw_RMoBPAzvp9CBhchiUE&s=ZWKFWQ6fGxjPqSMCbORiu3hkLufYtfChwlfgdLLLGNQ&e=>;
 however, both are Washington Administrative Code rules that apply similar to
any other state agency rules or statutes.

My best,

Rebecca

Subject: [acupa-l] Code of Conduct Question

Good morning ACUPA members,

I am doing a review of our institution’s Code of Conduct and was wondering if
your institutions require employees to attest to or acknowledge the
institution’s Code of Conduct. If yes, how often is it required (one time or
recurring) and how is it obtained (manual or electronic database platform)?

Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Jennifer
