It's a bit confusing to me and if you go to www.adobe.com and follow the Products link you'll see what I mean - Premiere is the traditional name for the editing sw but the latest versions are using the name Creative Suite 3 (CS3), except that there also is a Premiere Pro CS3.
The web site half-heartedly explains the differences but if you read the details close enough and over again enough times, it might become clearer.
