I regularly import 2 hr+ clips onto the timeline in APP2 and I have no problems.
I don't think that the 1Gb limit will make a difference, except perhaps in speed of processing. What I suspect may be happening is something similar to the problem I have with my Sony HDD camcorder. It stores long movies as 2Gb 'chunks' which can be played back on the camera without loss of data. If I transfer these 'chunks' to my PC and load them onto the timeline, I get a data loss of 9 frames on the "join". The way round this is to join the clips together via "VideoReDo Plus" which has all sorts of useful tools for repairing "broken" video clips. I suggest that you download the trial version and run your movie through it - it's very quick - and see if it cures the problem. I was also given a pirated full version of VideoReDo Plus and felt that it is so useful that I was compelled to do the right thing and purchase it! www.videoredo.com Regards, Alan. www.theatreorgans.co.uk Admin: ConnArtistes, UKShopsmiths, 2nd Touch & A-P groups Shopsmith 520 + bits Flatulus Antiquitus ----- Original Message ----- From: THE Doctor To: [email protected] Sent: Monday, May 28, 2007 7:12 AM Subject: [AP] clip time limit? > Is there a time limit to the size of a clip you can import to the timeline? > I am trying to import an 80 minute movie but only 25 minutes shows up. > Is my 1GB RAM a factor in this? The movie is a little over 5 GB. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] Yahoo!
