Thanks for the reply.  I'm trying the VideoReDo now. I'm wondering what 
process you use in the VideoReDo to accomplish the cuts, then the 
stitch. I just tried the "Quickstream Fix" under the tools menu.  The 
result was a 27 + minute file down to 4 + mins and played at 4 x speed.

This video has been giving me fits since May.  The videographer was 
obviously a novice and used the Sony capture program to create the DVD, 
which I re-encoded to MPEG2.  Any help will be greatly appreciated!
