I produce video since 1991 and I sure know how to tell good picture quality from poor picture quality. Also, my Canon is PAL. The other guys are talking about the NTSC version. Maybe that explains the difference.
Also, if you can't stand opinions being posted about camcorders, stay away from posting opinions about other members. This forum is objective and independent. We share positive and negative experiences here. My experience with that Canon camera is bad.
