Hello Rieni,
I don't think anyone wants to stop you from giving your opinion, it was that
in your first post you said you thought the camera was crap without much of
an explanation why. In your second post you did mention dropouts being an
issue. Now we are on to something concrete we can discuss and share opinions
and even maybe solutions to. I always run a cleaning tape on a new camera
before using it for the first time. I even think that the A1 cameras I
purchased came with one but it may have been the H1 cameras that had them.
In both cases I have experienced no drop out issues. Could it be the tape?
I had always thought that tape issues were more likely to be drop out
sources. Now that I think about it I don't remember ever having a drop out
issue with a digital tape, that is not the case with analog formats like
Beta SP and SVHS. Are the problems you are experiencing drop outs or is it
more like a blocky digital breakup? Try running a cleaning tape and see if
that improves things.
Other than the "drop out" issue you mentioned, what other problems are you
experiencing? My personal experiences with the A1 have been pretty positive
with no complaints.
Regards,
Richard Peoples (please note that I am not the Richard with no last name)
