Dominus used to give out Perl certificates. Can't remember whether it

Well, who *inside* the Perl community cares? Since any doofus that can
point and click on a webpage can get a PAUSE (and CPAN) id and upload
a bazillion files, it's as meaningless as Dominus' certificates.
And it's generally believed in the Perl community that certificates
are not useful, and hardly worth the paper they are printed on.
Not to mention that Larry doesn't want Perl itself to be certified.
The Perl community doesn't *like* environments where they are big on
certification. So, my question is, what does Perl have to gain to
have Perl Certification?
