My notion of modeling is evidently different from Saul's.
For me, the existent example (or source) is not necessarily good - it need
only be interesting.
I think of the source as a kind of score --- and the painter sculptor as a
kind of jazz singer. (i.e. improvisation is important) -- and whatever
concepts/ideas are recognized- happens only in afterthought.
