It seems that some streetwork subcontractors function with the mindset
"it's way too much effort, time and expense to work around all the
ground-level microtrenched conduit in this area. Just plan to destroy the
conduit and we'll include in the cost to the city whatever the owner will
charge us as repair/penalty costs."

Business as normal for the construction guys, but you need to explain to
your customers why they don't have internet for a week.
