The steel ties have been an issue of contention. The SCADA supervisor for PSB requested they be mandatory and no dangling wires. I had ground wire separated on arm of mount and Brown Caldwell project mgr asked me to follow Heliax run. The ground is attached to air terminal and runs inside IMC through CBG rubber grommet as well as Heliax which has ground strap by antenna which is tied to air terminal. Grounding is to dedicated 10 ft rod. Inside building heliax connects to Polyphaser with ring terminal to isolated ground outside NEMA enclosure. Pigtail to MDS SD9 which has surge protection on data and power So far we haven't lost a radio to hits when sites have been hit. Replace fuse or arrester and back in business. No antenna or cables yet but rainy season is just starting.
