Can you elaborate on why remote peering is necessary, isn't that just making the IX a transit provider and would be somewhat contradictory of an IX "keeping it local"? Just want to know what I am missing here? I think everyone will agree that if we go out of our way connect to an IX, it needs to be worth it.
