If I am picturing this correctly, you would need captive nuts on the
backside of the mount.  The magnets on studs would be screwed through and
be adjusted with a screwdriver in a slot in the top of the stud after which
a locking nut would be threaded down.  The captive nuts could just be
welded in place.
