Nature is performing that sort of experiment all the time.
The losing moral systems go extinct.

The mere existence of controversy doesn't necessarily
indicate there are no underlying facts. Consider, for
example, the continuum hypothesis in mathematics,
or the battle between kin and group selection in biology.
