Hi Peter,

Yep, I'm on this list. I'm working as a full time volunteer on the
Novamente project with Ben.

No-one should get too excited about the Novamente 2D world at this
stage. As Ben says it is perception only at the moment. The reason for
moving to this stage is that we need some additional testing frameworks.
2D world gives us the ability to generate interesting patterns to test
map formation and activation.

The architecture of Novamente makes it very simple to incorporate an
input only 2D World. You just need to feed in a 2d (x, y) time series
and the existing architecture takes care of the rest.

Of course supporting actions from Novamente is a whole new ball game.
That won't be possible until the schema modules are implemented.

Hey Tony - are you on this list? How are you doing? Can we have a look
at
your world (or spec)? Perhaps we can co-ordinate our efforts somehow.

... [Although, in fact, Tony Lofthouse is coding up a simple 2D
training-world right now, just to test
some of the current Novamente cognitive functions in isolation, even
though
the system is not yet ready for real experiential learning]
