The only thing to learn from here is the way they managed to build hype around their technology. Possibly appropriate here :-)

Technology wise, we're talking Lua state machines, genetic algorithms that are manually tweaked for every special case. The resulting neural nets are pretty much only used to "drive" their active ragdolls towards known poses.
