Although its quite easy to change key silkscreening right up to production
(which is - afaik - all they have done), that's not the biggest problem with
it. Try running the emulator in qvga-p mode (or - for the kogan - qvga-l).
There are some pretty noticable assumptions about dpi and screen size buried
in the core.

Its not impossible that it could have been fixed, but I would say at this
point it is unlikely. If they had even one physical device already, they
would have waved it around, if for no other reason than to prove it
existed..

A couple of quick highlights for the emulator in qvga-l mode:
 - lock screen
 - home screen icon overlap
 - dialer (landscape and portrait are broken - portrait is kinda cute tho)
 - in-call screen

Its absolutely not insurmountable, but its not good...
