Mike, Eric, Mark,

Eric, I couldn't have picked a better thread's name than "G1
disappointment" to rant about my disappointment of my G1.

Mark, glad to know you don't have any problems w/ your device. But let
me remind you something not so long in the past.

I was the 1st to whine that the device was losing more and more memory
as I was redeploying my app on it.
At first, no one believed me, and there was lots of guys, which, just
like you assumed there's nothing wrong with the device or the OS, and
it's just my device, I'm a Google hater and what not.
Now, if you search for "TERRIBLE BUG" in the developers list, you'll
see that it turned out more and more guys started to experience that
and their devices got less and less memory and finally an Android
engineer (can't remember who) found out that there was IN FACT a bug
in Android, and it was not properly unlinking files and the device was
indeed losing memory. I think this was fixed in 1.1 because I haven't
seen this anymore.

My point is -- just DON'T be so happy yours STILL works, and don't
judge that it's only mine, because "for what it's worth" might be
worth nothing.

I rant because my G1 is not
the-G1-made-exclusively-for-Stoyan-to-make-him-miserable G1, it's a
device you could have bought for yourself, your wife, or your kids.
FWIW I've done a factory reset once, and it didn't help with any of
the problems I reported.

Mike, you can laugh at me all you want (my friend was on his iPhone).
I know it's a pure coincidence but so what? It doesn't change the fact
that my calls are breaking. I'm 100% positive it's not the network
either because lately it happens to like 90% of all my calls. I did
say I'm not into conspiracy theories, didn't I? So I don't know what's
your point with the tin foil hat.

Cheers
