My phone is unlocked. I can positively state the issue is not the
network because my this happens to me while:
- I'm talking to my wife in the same room on the same network
- am talking to my mother, she's using another carrier
- am talking to friends and colleagues on different carriers
- none of the above experience abrupt call ends

Also, I've put my SIM card in 3 of my old phones (PocketLoox,
Motorola, and Sony Ericsson) and can talk for ages w/o interruptions
hence my decision to STOP using my G1 as my phone.
