Sounds like the perfect opportunity for a "proxy publisher" for
Android applications.  For example, somebody could register domain
www.ProxyAndroid.com and use it to allow developers to easily publish
to each of the app stores.

Great, now I have to convince myself not to go out and register that
domain (it's currently available :-).

In the end, competition is almost always good for the consumer.  For
example, how will GMail one-up Facebook's announcement of offering
email to keep people on GMail.  There's a potential huge ad revenue
loss to Google.
