A couple summers in college I worked at a Bed Bath & Beyond. We had
"customers" that would buy air conditioners in June and then turn around and
return them in October. I kid you not. And the store took them back because
they have ridiculous customer service standards. And this was in midtown
Manhattan - these people weren't exactly scraping to get by.

What are these people thinking?


Probably that it doesn't hurt to try to see how much they can get away with.
