I think the point is that measuring things in percentage increases is of little 
value when most people are interested in absolute values.

Saying an increase of 1000% doesn't tell anyone whether you're getting 10 
downloads per day or 1000, and if you're getting 10 things are far less 
interesting than if you're getting 1000.
