I mentioned it before, but the only 1-star review on my paid app reads:

"I need more than 15 minutes to try this came to review it."

I assume he means "this game", but whatever. It would still be showing 5
stars (with a 4.9 average) if it weren't for that jerk.

I already don't respond to any that say:
App Y is better and its free!
(I'll consider this an opinion, not fact, until my sales go to zero).
THAT should be marked as spam. I'm sorry, but using reviews to advertise
another app isn't appropriate.

The majority of my ratings are 5 star too but in fairness would you ever give an app 5 stars unless it really knocked your socks off? Though there are many miscreant Android owners on the market who regularly diss apps and give low ratings, in many cases for apps they don't even understand nor have even yet to understand their phone, some of the 5 star raters are probably being overly generous or impulsive. I'm would be pleased with a 3 star and a 4 star. When I rate movies on Netflix I rarely give 5 stars except to classics or new films that REALLY knock my socks off. But then given Netflix reasons for ratings I wont to give 1 or 2 star ratings either. For many discriminating users, similarly the Market ratings may not mean a whole lot as long as the app seems to do what they want and are not expecting a desktop $50 software for $2.
