I tried with '@' as a secondary separator and compilation didn't work.
This is the message I get:

        apertium-gen-modes modes.xml
        /apertium-es-pt1/modes.xml:95: element mode: validity error : Syntax of
value for attribute name of mode is not valid
        Document /apertium-es-pt1/modes.xml does not validate against
/usr/local/share/apertium/modes.dtd
        make[1]: ** [es-pt.mode] Erro 3
        make[1]: Saindo do diretório `/apertium-es-pt'
        make: ** [all] Erro 2

And these are the lines 95-116 of the modes.xml with the problem:

          <mode name="es-pt...@ant" install="yes">
            <pipeline>
              <program name="lt-proc">
                <file name="es-pt.automorf.bin"/>
              </program>
              <program name="apertium-tagger -g $2">
                <file name="es-pt.prob"/>
              </program>
              <program name="apertium-pretransfer"/>
              <program name="apertium-transfer">
                <file name="[email protected]"/>
                <file name="[email protected]"/>
                <file name="[email protected]"/>
              </program>
              <program name="lt-proc $1">
                <file name="[email protected]"/>
              </program>
              <program name="lt-proc -p">
                <file name="es-pt.autopgen.bin"/>
              </program>
            </pipeline>
          </mode>

Do you know how to fix it?

Thank you,
