I'm not sure where to put this user's suggestion in github.
A user in currently trying to translate quite a lot from French to
Sardinian. There isn't a direct translator in Apertium: Italian or Catalan
should be used as a pivot language. According to this user, Italian gives
better results and he would like to explicitly select it in
beta.apertium.org Currently he is doing two steps in the standard
apertium.org translator. The request seems to make sense. Could it be done?
