That's weird, Smartdrv loads high automagically for me. I think there's a
switch to prevent it, you should make sure that it's not there. (see "help
smartdrv" and/or "smartdrv/?")
And there should be plenty of room, but this is similar to the fact that if
I load mscdex (or nwcdex or shsucdx) I can't get the keyboard driver in
upper memmory even if there's room for it - and I can add other things up
there.
