Bernie said, That's weird, Smartdrv loads high automagically for me. I think there's a switch to prevent it, you should make sure that it's not there. (see "help smartdrv" and/or "smartdrv/?") Bernie, I figured out how to get my smartdrv loaded high. Strangely, I had more than one line to run smartdrv in my config.sys and autoexec.bat, and the computer used the first one it came to.
