Glenn,
I've been working with this, and now have two .acf profiles for
this installation of Arachne:
-------------------------------
on one, I use Netdial 1.3 to connect, load epppd into high
memory area, then boot up Arachne 1.50.
------------------------------
on the other, a normal Arachne setup, with no Netdial "front
end", epppd is loaded into conventional memory. I can switch
back and forth, but if I disconnect with ALT-H with the Netdial
profile, then I have to ALT-X, and run my batch file to run
Netdial and then go to Arachne. If I use the normal setup,
I can ALT-H when daughter wants to get online with her
computer, and then ALT-D to get back on.
-----------------------------
While all this is going on, I can go to desktop, tools, memory,
more info, and see where epppd is loaded for the particular
.acf I am using at the time.
-----------------------------
I keep seeing that "Reserved" section on machines with windows
on it. We have a PS/1 at work with only DOS 6.22 on it, and
there is no reserved section.
-----------------------------
Arachne shows Dos memory (KB) 103+ on this installation, and
I believe it should be higher. I'll get back here with some
mem.txt files using both .acf's.
----------------------------
