hmm .. this appears here also, but it vanishes very fast, and than the
message is sent ...
Have you tried another newsserver ??
(you can try news.wu-wien.ac.at ... for non-university IPs only some at.*
newsgroups are readable ...
You can try to wwrite to at.test , but I don't know whether writing is
allowed ...)

Interesting ... SMTP has nothing to do with newsgroups ...

You don't do anything wrong ...
That's IMHO normal behaviour.
