I went in and deleted that line, reloaded acf.  Doesn't seem to make any
difference at all.

All dgi processes are taking 5-20 times as long as when in dial-up
setup.  As I said before, it could be because I had to move to DOS disk
caching  ... couldn't squeeze in ncache.  Maybe, since I seem to have
plenty of memory [because I don't need load epppd], I can try ncache
again and see how it works.
