Yes, this is a little bit of an inconvenience and I myself have also
experienced the problem. There is a good way to avoid having this
problem. Simply save your message to the outbox before you pop away
for a bit. You may later finish composing your message by shelling
out to DOS, and then by loading the message you saved into your
favorite text editor. No problem. I suppose you are already well
aware of this technique. For the newbies it would be nice if there
were a warning message telling you that your message will be lost unless
you save it to the outbox.
