Clarence,

I haven't been following the Arachne list closely. But this sounds like
you are looking for a little Linux to install in a dos partition. I've
just recently tried Pygmy Linux with some satisfaction. I downloaded 5 or
6 floppy sized compressed files into a C:\LINUX directory. One of the
files was a self-extracting exe which opened everything up into a pretty
complete Linux system that boots from a dos batch file. Everything I've
tried (lynx, pine, fetchmail, telnet, ftp) works well. I think I
downloaded the files from the sunsite.unc.edu ftp server.

Hope you enjoy it.
