Thank you for your suggestion of using a UMSDOS filesystem
for BasicLinux. I did consider this, but decided against
it for two reasons. First, I was aiming for a mini-Linux
that could be booted from a DOS directory on a HDD -or-
from two floppies. UMSDOS is unsuitable for floppies.
Second, I was aiming for a simple unzip-and-go installation
to HDD (with no pre-configuration required). AFAIK, UMSDOS
requires pre-configuration before it can boot for the first
time (root=/dev/hd??).

However, if you really want a UMSDOS version, let me know,
and I'll give it a go. It shouldn't be too hard to do.

I must admit that I was suprised to hear that BasicLinux
"looks like too much work to get going." Particularly
since my number one goal was to make it easy. Perhaps
I made a mistake by putting too much detail in README.TXT ?
All of that stuff about floppies and customization is
irrelevent for the basic boot from HDD. Perhaps I need
to re-write the documentation?

Anyway, thank you for your input, Clarence. Even negative
comments are welcome.

Cheers,
Steven
