It is not required that your (or anyone else's) BROWSER modifies files to
create new javascript. The replicator is further up the arm in contact with
your keyboard. 
You receive javascript.
YOU decide that javascript is the proper message for the medium.
YOU create new javascript.

Yes, and "sometimes" the second virus can modify/reverse the effects of the
first, thereby rendering its replicating ability null.
