Hi Thomas,

I started getting dupe's a day or two before, but it was ok on the
Thursday. I diden't connect again till Sunday, so I did have a couple of
days Arachne list and possibly a couple of personel's to download
Sunday morning. I connected to my pop3 and downloaded until it locked
up. Arachne generated a download error-aborting message.

I looked at the contents of my inbox and the dupes were back, but with
slightly different file sizes, some of the messages had the header info
attached. I tried several times to complete the D/L, but got the same
list messages again and Arachne aborted always at the same message
number. For me it was unrecoverable. It required ISP helpdesk
intervention to access my pop3 server and delete the entire contents.

It was proberbly just one file, but they deleted the lot. They advised
me via email that the Arachne list server messages had caused the
problem, and suggested I unsubscribe. Seems to work fine now.

No, and my ISP tech support did not give me any details, just that the
messages generated by the Arachne server were the problem.

Regards Laurie
