  One of the advantages of many Linux distributions
is that many ways of doing things are developed and
we can choose the one we like best.
  At the same time that can be a disadvantage, with
many choices sometimes being confusing.  Sometimes
too, people familiar with one distribution tend to 
assume another distribution works the same way.

  Well, even if the installation program puts it on 
"automatically," you can always take it right back off!
