I had it running briefly on a 486dx66 with 32MB RAM and even pared down and doing nothing I had to wait for the cursor to catch up to the mouse. I wasn't impressed at all. that system ran w98 and did it in realtime responses. I don't know what monitor I used then, but my current monitor doesn't work with linux. I've tried every damn setting I can find and finally given up. > > I tried all the GUIs that I could at that time. > >Did you try icewm? I don't have time to fire up the slack machine sitting beside me. there's way too much on my plate. It's all I can do not to go on a rampage some days and destroy all machines that don't just run when I turn them on and do what I ask, IE non-win machines. I have an attic to build and a painting contract and new housemate who seems to need an inordinate amount of attention. When i have my cable installed I'll see if I can figure out a way to route it around to more than one machine and then if I can get the DOS box to access it. The DOS is for my housemate but I'm beginning to get fed up. he asked for it but hasn't even turned it on or tried any exercises to learn to use it. -- For a country to be free it's citizens must have a way to defy unjust laws.
