so I guess there's an ADFS filesystem in there somewhere. I think perhaps I 
need to revisit how I created this image file - I'm a little lary of 
manhandling this disk too much, since it's 15 years old or so, but if I can 
get it into a machine that will play nicely with its IDE controller under 
linux I can at least use dd instead of relying on whatever DOS utils I can 
find. Sounds like time for another trip into the loft.
