FWIW, I've had a number of evil things happen with reiserfs.  It's rare, 
and seems to only happen when I try to change partition size, but 
there's been several occasions where my reiserfs got totally corrupted 
and lost loads of files.  I actually just started using ext3 on my most 
recent installation in the hopes that I never have to deal with this again.
