I had mentioned Deva and Athish Uthiriyan in context of that Good
Morning Tamilnadu, and some others in different threads.

I didn't mention Harris recently but he has done hindi films also so I
know about him.

I heard Sakkarakatti. Not the first tamil album that I heard, some 4-5-6
years ago, I had tried hearing several Tamil/ Telugu albums of ARR but
in the days of cassette player, all that rewind/forward, change cassette
side was not convenient and it were analog and speakers. Now, on PC,
non-stop with a microphone and digital audio, Marudhani did the trick.

It is one of the best songs of ARR and I am in love with it. I
translated lyrics to hindi (from english) and that gave me some idea of
what they are saying and Elay is great lyrics wise. Taxi Taxi has catchy
beats, Miss u da is seductive. Good album.

I still think if Marudhani had not been in it, I might not have listened
to this album so much, but sometimes I heard only marudhani non-stop,
but sometimes I ended up hearing to all - due to wrong button pressed
:-) and the songs showed their beauty.

And then, several members mentioned Marudhani genre of songs and I heard
to Mayilirege, Munbe va, Sahana/ Sahara, Alle Alle, Yedo yedo, anarkali,
and some more.

These were good, but odd that Marudhani is far better even to
Mayilirege, Munbe va, Sahana/ Sahara. Probably that is the pain one has
to go through when he chances upon the best song early.

I am hearing other albums also one by one. Major dissappoints are the
ones like Alli Arjuna which had reused songs from many hindi albums, but
it is ok.

Vairamuthu issue still remains unresolved. Not understanding Tamil, I
wouldn't be able to appreciate his poetry, and if it comes to english
hindi translations, I have already heard Latka Jhatka, aurat bhi na
chhodoonga, telephone dhun and such shabby translations.

Having waited for new ARR releases for months and years so many times in
last 16-18 years, hearing to tamil ones suddenly presented a lot of ARR
songs which were unheard for me till now. So a treasure is with me and I
am enjoying that.
