One update on a bug-fix I reported earlier, plus another fix. The fix BMC recommended for defect SW00282903 was not tested very well, and it turns out that it breaks your ability to submit a new Incident from the Create Incident (Simple) view as operated from the Process Flow Status accelerator bar. I had to come up with my own fix, which was to create a second modified version of the original HPD:INC:ASGGRP_010_ClearSetFlds and qualify it on OPERATION != QUERY, and take the first modified version with the second Set Fields action removed and qualify it for OPERATION != QUERY. So far, that is working for both creating Incidents and searching for them by Assigned Group. BMC says it may be fixed by Patch 008 (we are on most current, 006). Searching Incidents by Assigned Group differs between Selection from menu and pasting into field or advanced qualification. ISS03209657 Solution from BMC - defect #SW00282903.
* Disable Active Link HPD:INC:ASGGRP_010_ClearSetFlds * Create *HPD:INC:ASGGRP_010_ClearSetFlds with second Set Fields action removed. * Create +HPD:INC:ASGGRP_010_ClearSetFlds_1 with second Set Fields action. * This modification BREAKS Create Incident (Simple) - blocks incident creation - and BMC has confirmed their original solution was invalid * Create new *HPD:INC:ASGGRP_010_ClearSetFlds_1 from OOTB but add Run If Qualification: o $OPERATION$ != "QUERY" * Keep/rename modified *HPD:INC:ASGGRP_010_ClearSetFlds_2 which has second Set Fields action removed, but add Run If Qualification: o $OPERATION$ = "QUERY" * Disable and remove permissions from +HPD:INC:ASGGRP_010_ClearSetFlds_1 (or delete it) Active Link had Change Field Action for field that no longer exists 301390089 * Disable Active Link INT:HPDPBM:INC:ShowCreateKnowledgeBtn_100 * Create *INT:HPDPBM:INC:ShowCreateKnowledgeBtn_100 with third Change Fields removed In our notation, modified workflow is copied from the original with an asterisk preceding the name, and the original is simply disabled and Public permissions removed. Custom workflow is preceded by a + symbol.
