The main objection to using MAPI is the need to install a MAPI client,
which is desktop software, on a server. Most IT shops hesitate to do
this because of the security and patching issues that arise because of a
configuration like this.

MAPI is not a protocal that accesses exchange directly. It allows remedy
to access a mail client. I've never seen somebody block outlook from
accessing exchange. If that's the case, they either need to allow some
form of access previously mentioned or they're not getting inbound email
into Remedy.

Hi Michiel,

Thanks for the reply. According to mu exchange admin no protocol is
enable
except RPC over HTTP. I really dont understand what he means , Confused
!!!!!!!!!.

Please suggest if MAPI is also not enabled what i should do ?
