Absolutely! In that configuration (I think the docs call it 'SMTP client') ASSP 
gets all the 
outgoing mail.  You only are *required* to add a dummy domain to ASSP when you 
have an 'Exchange-
type' configuration with ASSP getting the mails after your mailserver.

However, you could still add asspsmtp.org as a dummy domain to your setup, for 
the purposes of 
testing.
