Let me give you a little more information... when you are dealing with 
FXO there are typically two types of signalling. Ground Start and Loop 
Start... In most situations, with a standard POTS line you will be using 
Loop Start.  That being said use KewlStart, it will do Loop Start and 
has better hangup detection as well as some other beneficial features.

As for the sangoma card, couple of things apply... you will need to 
download the latest firmware and compile it against your kernel and 
zaptel source.  Once this is complete you will need to recompile your 
zaptel drivers as well.  There is a configuration utility that provides 
access to the sangoma feature set and the onboard echo canceller.
