Were I in your situation, I would separate the audio from the AV -
that's my angle: I use a stereo system with an 8' projector :)

So that would involve getting a proper audio amplifier, plugging the
SB2 and the pre-outs of the Denon into it, and then you have an audio
system.

I imagine that AV amps might sound better than they did 2-3 years ago
when I last heard one, but they would need to (I welcome comments from
others on this).  The last ones I heard were terrible, but in
mitigation the Denons were the best!

I can't comment on your speakers - I thought the Mission 776 was a
battery powered preamp now 20-odd years old; rather nice as I remember!
