I have a 300.00 Aural Symphonics coax and a 30.00 glass fiber tosslink
feeding a Lavry 10 and a modded Sonic Frontiers DAC.

Depending on the words I use to describe the differences one could
think I prefer one over the other even though the "words" describe the
same listening experience.

Glass:" smoother more refined top end" or: " less lively too laid
back"

although sometimes I had the opposite reaction.

I got my 14 year old son to switch back and
forth..............sometimes I heard a difference.......sometimes
not....... or so I thought...............

Right now I am listening to Diana Krall I bought used at 8.00 at the
used CD store near my house (don't you have to love urbanization? I
mean. we are talking Dallas here. Finally I can walk everywhere (
Madrid, I still love you. but I can walk here and speak Spanish to
everyone so it's not so bad)

Today I am convinced the glass fiber is better. I moved my SB and made
sure it was in the straightest line possible OMG what a
difference!!!!!!!!

Or so I thought in that moment. I am quite sure that I will change my
mind as soon as I listen to the coax again.

My point? (and thank you for your patience)

Audiofilia is a lot of fun when it doesn't cost anything or just a
little....................I can indulge my neuroses without penalty.

Based on my recent aural experiences, I would not spend 300.00 for the
cable
again ( I bought it 10 years ago so the pain has receeded)

I am willing to spend money on differences I consistently hear.If those
differences are musically important to me. The Jeff Rowland integrated
does things for me that his equipment from 10 years ago does not.
To me . that is money well spent.

My dealer friend will bring over the Nordost top digital cable soon. No
matter what I hear , I wouldn't buy it. But if the improvement is that
obvious I won't deny it and I will "lust after it" (if only to make my
girlfriend jealous)

So I would recommend you buy a BlueJeans digital and a Parts express
glass fiber tosslink and have fun comparing them, they are both cheap
enough that is good entertainment value.
As the Spanish say about the lottery: "de ilusion tan bien se vive"

"with illusion how well one lives"
