I've tried this to. The WAV out plugin may be writing a 24 bit file, but there is no data over the base 16 bits. Easy to tell once you compress to flac... as the flac files end up being very nearly the exact size of the original 16 bit rips. BTW, I have gotten HDCD to work in WMP11, the logo will show up, but only after playing the disc for several minutes.
